On the serious side here, who is next inline to become Co-Chair?

It is my understanding the Co-Chair position will come from within QSAC by the way of a current Committee Chairmen, District Chairmen, Regional Directors and Area Directors. So would it be Randy Brown, Lance Cote, Todd Halloway, Scott...??

Hmm... I read this in the rule book. Can someone clarify... Please?

It is intended that experience within the organization be a prerequisite for nomination for a Board
Co-Chairmanship. As such, eligibility for nomination to the position are limited to currently serving
Committee Chairmen, District Directors, Region Directors, and Area Directors. A nominating
committee consisting of the two existing Board Co-Chairmen and three members-at-large shall
interview all potential candidates from the pool of eligible persons defined in the foregoing, determining
each person’s ability and willingness to serve. The nominating committee shall then present
to the general membership a minimum of one and a maximum of three qualified candidates
for consideration. The candidate name or names together with a brief bio will be published each
year in the June issue of the newsletter, together with a ballot. The ballot MUST be returned to
the QSAC Secretary at the QSAC Information Center not later than August 1st in order to be
counted.

I wasn't questioning anyone's ability here. It is hard to figure out who you can take serious & who you cannot from everything that gets posted on the QSAC threads.

But, going by the rule stated in the QSAC rules, it would require an existing QSAC official that is why I wonder who would be the choice. I guess QSAC co-chairs can choose who they like, rule or no rule...right?

My honest opinion there are deserving & capable guys that are officials now. Whether or not they want the position would proabaly the the $64,000 question here.

I have just gotten into 1/4 scale this year. I have been to a few different tracks, met some some very good people. When You go to the track and talk to several people from all over it seems like you kinda know everybody from word of mouth who does what, who would like or like not to do things.

There are alot of people out there who would be qualified, some by knowlege, some by going to all NCS races and bigger non NCS races, meeting everybody and helping them and they that want to better our sport. (Good job Mike)

Alot of people I have talked to would love to do this but either dont have the resources or time and money at the moment. I know as I get further into this sport I hope to make my way up the ladder to help improve our hobby, but I know I'm new and I need to prove myself to the sport and membership body which means making out of state races and meeting different members.

I know just being on Hobbytalk wont do the trick I have to be face to face with the members.

Just wanted to put in my .02 worth, Glad to be a member

I agree with Tim McCown; the QSAC Leadership Team is made up of some very competent and dedicated people. They have proved their abilities over time and could easily make the transition to co-chair. If none of the team would accept the position, only then, should we look elsewhere.

I had no idea you guys were serious? Didn't mean to tread on the election celebration party. It is so hard to know when you guys are serious and when you are not. QSAC would be so lucky to have that kind of personality in the white house. :thumbsup:Look what I found. http://www.qsac.org/contact/

Correct me if I am wrong but I dont believe Tony had a spot on the QSAC committee before becoming our newest co-chair? I think that as long as we have someone with a bit of experience, enthusiasm, and patience we will be fine. I think Mike would do a great job at that! The whole wanting to take a group shower and wanting to get one of my team shirts kinda throws me off but hey....we all have our up sides and down sides!

I cannot believe that anyone with a hint of common sense would post something so pathetic on the QSAC site...joke or not! That site belongs to the 1/4 scale racers not a hand full of clowns. A few of you guys hyjack threads on HT with good information for racers to boast about beer drinking, group showers and leaving your wallets on each others night stands and now the QSAC site? It's a damn shame is all I can say.

Nothing wrong with a little fun but when it comes to being at the top of a national organization there needs to be at least a small amount of professionalism and internet etiquette used by those representing the organization as Co-chairs, directors and committee members.
