 That's not what everyone told me when we were decideing where to put it.Everyone seems to like the idea and the size that the track would be. The track is in and smooth, and next week I will be putting in the concrete around it. There's more work going to be done to it but it is ready to race right now.

What tires do you think it will take best? Foams or Rubber Treads? Just asking for anyone who has already tried to run on it.

Thanks,
Dale

the guys who ran it today thought rubber would work the best but I guess it depends on the driver.

Racing on a dirt oval even good clay during the heat of the day is a not going to attract many veteran dirt oval racers starting racing around 600 pm when the sun is headed down the track will hold some water as the sun falls the bite will go way up, dirt oval is all about the evening ( just my 2 cents) have fun no matter what..

We had a 100 ft runline on our track (GMX New milford ct.) with banking all around with clay. Ill tell you now, foams are the way to go. You dont have to worry about putting more clay on every week, or even having it rut up because of rubber digging in the same place lap after lap. The best prep is the first prep. wet it down real good and then rent a concrete float, work that around a few laps and you are done. The competition was close between all sorts of cars running edm bodys. You'll never go back to a rubber tire again.

The Concrete Was Done Today Around The Clay Oval.tommorrow It Is Getting The Banking Done And Worked With A Few Different Machines To Make It Smooth Enough For A Pan Car.

Good luck with the track. I know, from the sounds of it your going to have a great oval.
The guys I run with have been without a track for the last 8 months or so. The place I mentioned closed. Im sitting here with a brand new GBX ready to run and nowhere to run it.

I'll be there for Late model and Slider. My son will have his RC18b latemodel. FYI, the Losi slider late model body fits great on the RC18b and is a lot shorter and more realistic looking than the McAlliisters!!!
What are the tire rules for sliders?

Starting this Sat we will be charging 10.00 per class instead of 15.00.
We are getting enough people so this should make it a little easer on everyone and possibly get a few more which will make for better racing.
See you all soon.

Great time tonight!!! The Slider(and Slider wannabe) race couldn't have been any closer. All three cars on the same straightaway until Theo broke and Davon was nice enough to pull over and let me by in turn 3 on the final lap!!!CHOKE!!! CHOKE!!! I sure had my hands full with my latemodel. It was way to loose in the main. I couldn't believe how fast Logan's car was for a stock FT18t with a motor he ran the whole BRP winter series with!!! The track was sweet tonight. Thanks Steve for your hard work.

Hey guys if a slider shows up, and theres no other slidders to race where would we put him?

You would run in the next closest class such as the losi late models or the rc18's but the theres always a class for sliders
