Looking to get involved in some HO racing here in Dallas. Actually, we'll be moving just south of Denton soon (near Frisco). Anyone know of what's in the area?

View Full Version : Any HO clubs/organizations in the Dallas TX area? txronharris 07-15-2008, 05:05 PM Looking to get involved in some HO racing here in Dallas. Actually, we'll be moving just south of Denton soon (near Frisco). Anyone know of what's in the area? NTxSlotCars 07-15-2008, 06:16 PM Yep! We have all linked up just recently. Guys from Garland, Mesquite, Allen, Waxahachie, Bedford, Carrolton, Forney, and looking for more racers! Dave (couch61) is up in Denton, but he hasn't made it to one of our races yet. How long have you been racing? What do you like to race? Do you have a track layout? (Is your layout certified by the national board of directors? Do you have any prior race qualifications? DO you have sponsors? Is your racing program incorporated? Is your race shop unionized?) Just kidding about all that crap in the ( ). We just get together and have fun. We usually race on Friday nights, start about 7pm. My track is in Garland. Dan's track is in Carrolton. Larry's track is in Forney. One coming soon in Dallas, and Wylie.(under construction) I have a bunch of pics on myspace at... www.myspace.com/northtexasslotcars You can watch the slide show there, or see all the pics and videos with a free Myspace account. I do have these videos on Google.... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6497023155316259174 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8650874103856353487 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7213323756753915238 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-359944269566536923 Well, anyways, I guess you could say that's a big YES. What's you name? Anyone know of what's in the area? Ron move closer to Denton we can race every day of if ya like lol..Lots of guys around us now. Read Riches post one day i will get a Friday night off!!! Dave txronharris 07-15-2008, 11:16 PM That all sounds pretty good. I'm still getting the ideas for the track together. I'm also a model railroader (n scale) so I split my time between the two. My 8yr old son's trying to get us to build a track and we probally will once we move into our new house in September. As far as what I like to race, I really don't care. I've seen the track at the shop in Carrollton where they were doing the NASCAR thing, but I don't know if that's still going on. I'm by far an beginner so I'm pretty much up for anything. If I had my way, I've had this idea about a routed sprint car oval floating around in my head, but it's just a dream. Glad to see there are a few guys around. Once we get settled in Savannah (that's Texas) I'll give you all a shout. Thanks again, Ron TEAM D.V.S. 07-15-2008, 11:39 PM check this one out Ron! cool looking dirt track for 1/32 scale , it is actually made from clay ! sure looks like fun ! http://www.bigdaddysracecenter.com/ vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
