Should the motor sit flush with the chassis? I'm trying to use my 10.5 brushless, but now that i have it in, it's hitting the body and there is like a half inch space between the motor and chassis. Any help with this would be great, thanks also, the pinion goes upside down right?

You should try to find one of the lowered motor mouning rings. The plate lowers the motor closer to the chassis and thus lowers the motor weight in the chassis. If your are referring to the pinion shaft it could go either way depending on the type of pinion. Do you have the motor plate installed the right way?
