This is a Gateway MX8711 laptop I bought in March of 2007. I had hoped to move away from using a desktop, but couldn't make the switch. This really is in like new condition. I turn it on occasionally to keep the battery charged, but do not use it.

I am the original purchaser, and will provide the original receipt from Best Buy in Eastgate. The original box, manuals, etc will be included.
I did a fresh install of Vista Home Premium from the re-install disk, and added Service Pack 1. This way, none of the "free" junk Gateway originally included is on there.
I installed Avast anti virus software, using my own license which will expire around November of this year. You can always register with Avast for free, add your key code to the software and be good for 12 more months.

Here are some specs on the machine:
Intel Pentium Dual-core Mobile Processor T2250 (1.73ghz each core)
2GB of RAM. Originally included 1GB, but Vista need more.
SUPER bright, high gloss 17" LCD display. As big as many desktop systems.
Numeric keypad! Don't you hate keying in numbers on a normal laptop keyboard?
Included Broadcom 802.11g wireless. Great connect speeds.
Also has a built in ethernet port and modem if you don't use wireless and/or broadband.
4 qty. hi-speed USB 2.0 ports. Plenty of room for usb flash and hard drives, a mouse, your MP3 player, etc.
S-video out - hook it up to your TV
Built-in memory card reader on the front, next to the mic and headphone ports. I know it reads SD cards, and I believe it also will handle Sony memory sticks.
