This is a thread to highlight the rules for Washtenaw for the 2008-2009 season.
To start I want to emphasize that Washtenaw is a family freindly operation and we hope everyone works hard to keep it that way.
The building are smoke free.
Consumption of alcohol or use of any type of drugs will not be tolerated. If you are found to be under the influence, you will be asked to leave immediately and the local law enforcement will be called to meet you as your tires touch the public road.
We ask that you keep foul language to a minimum.
Please remember we are there to have fun. We can have Exciting, close racing and still come off the drivers stand smiling and laughing with our friends and fellow racers.

In the Pits:
You can reserve your pit space with a pit mat, or sign that clearly has your name on it. BUT.. toward the end of registration at 9:30 am, you are not there and we need the table space, I will offer your pit space to someone else.
Please be willing to downsize some if necessary if the crowd gets too big. Usually 1/2 of a picnic table is adequate for the average pit space. Take what you need.. but please be willing to share if necessary.
Canopy space is limited, please contact me if you think you want to put one up. The spaces next to the big sliding door on both sides are already spoken for, there may be room for one more between McKays and the side door. The space in front of the food wagon is also reserved by Memo. There may be room for another next to him.
Table are provided. but there is room for additional tables if you would like to bring your own.
There are 4 side rooms available for pit space also. Small fuel space heaters are allowed as long as the fumes are not offensive to racers pitting around you. Electric space heaters can be used.. but you should know... Some draw a lot of amperage and my cause your circuit breaker to pop. Use at your own discretion. PLEASE SHUT THEM OFF at the end of the day. You can leave any equipment you want at the track.(Tables, Lights ect.) RC Product Designs and Washtenaw RC Raceway will not be responsible for things you may choose to leave. The building is locked when we are not there and the only ones with access are the fairgrounds crew and myself.

My race directors and myself reserve the right to discuss with anyone their driving skills or the class you are in, if we deem them unsafe to the Marshalls, Racers, or spectators. If that is found to be the case, we will privately discuss with you, your driving style or ask you to detune your car and or move to a more appropriate class for your skill level.

These rules may be refined or changed as the open discussion goes on before the season starts. You input is appreciated.

If the Slash class is a spec class, Why is a radio upgrade allowed? The truck comes with a radio (just asking), Some radio's could give an advantage over someone with the TQ imho.

one good reason is it allows more people to run without frequency conflicts. another is many people just dont like the feel a different radio and want to use what they run with their other cars.

I thought there were more then 6 channels for 27mhz. My bad. (slams head on keyboard!)

Its been a few years since I was raced last. I seriously thought 27mhz had 12 different channels.

it is 12 if you are in europe, but in the US we are only allowed to use 6.

There are 12 available in the US. Radio Shack has 7-12 for sale
But... frequency conflicts are always an issue at a track this large... Any time you can make a simple change (allowing any radio) to alleviate it is beneficial for the race program.

yes radio shack use to sell channels 7-12 but they discontinued them well over a year ago. i dought you could find them any longer except on ebay from guys selling them second hand.

This is an Electric Indoor Dirt track.
Electric 1/8th scale usually has two heats.

Nitro indoors during the winter does not work. Even one vehicle running in the closed up building stinks up the place. I can't imagine 10 on the track and 10 warming up getting ready to run.
This building is so big that I couldn't afford to heat it if I had to open the doors for ventilation
