Where are some good places to get 1/8" sheet stock carbon fiber? I've been shopping around, but not finding many places. So far all I've really seen is Mcmaster-Carr which is 12"x24" for $153. I want to build my own dirt modified, but I definitely don't need enough carbon fiber to build two when the whole reason I'm making my own is to make it cheap.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks,
Matt

I've had my own chassis cut. I would suggest getting enough carbon fiber for at least two, especially if these are something you're trying to handcut yourself. If you google for carbon fiber you'll find at least 5 places you could buy from with only a few minutes of looking.
Cutting your own chassis is not a great way to save money. It is a good way to get the exact car you want, but it's not going to be a money saver.

It is a good way to get the exact car you want...
Yes, that's the main reason I want to do it. The Penguin R/C prices seem pretty good...thanks!

Penguin does have the good quality quasi-isotropic carbon fiber. You should note that his 7" x 9" are actually slightly smaller than that, plus there is a small 1/8" hole in one of the corners for some reason.

Matt you might want to look at www.acp-composites.com too as that's where I got the graphite for the truck I built. Or maybe see what Tim DiPenti could do for you?
