I'm new to the rc scene and "ive got another question. How do you wash you trucks. I was thinking of spraying some mild degreaser on it and then hose it off, but another guy told me not to do that because of the electronics. I asked him how he cleaned his and he said he took his completely part to clean his. That sounded like a lot of work just to clean the truck. How do you clean your trucks?
Oh by the way i have a nirto trubby.

Depends on what is on it.
Most will remove the servo tray and receiver box and then can spray it off with a cleaner. You can actually buy a "Buggy Wash" at the hobby shop designed to clean Nitro cars.
Too much fluid... and you have to worry about it pushing small bits of dirt and grime in your bearings though.
Simplest way is to take the tires off and use a soft brush on it. Like a tooth brush. If you have caked on dirt, you may need to scrape it lightly with a tool, then brush it off. You can also use simple green or an equivilent type cleaner on a rag to wipe off the grime from the Nitro.
Once the majority of the stuff is gone, you can also blow it off with an air hose.
An occasional deep cleaning by disassembling the vehicle doesn't hurt, but is not necessary every time you run it.
Hope this helps you.

if you got a air compressor, blow dry it too !! then spray the whole dang thing with wd-40, let it sit a little while and blow it off again lightly with the air. this will help you clean it the next time, dirt will not stick as well to it, and you lube your bearings, and hinge pins !!

If you saturate it and let it sit for a LONG... LONG time.
But as he stated, if after you clean it you spray it lightly and let it sit, it provides a thin barrier helps keep stuff from sticking to your chassis.

I play with 1/8 nitro truggy myself, and to keep it clean after playing I use the airspray can to blow dust from the computer keyboards on the car while brushing at the same time with a toothbrush. Then use a little wd40 & wipe it off with a clean rag.
