What do you guys use to route your exhaust from the muffler.

search Volkswagon pre-heater tubing 1 inch or just go to the auto part store and pick up the smallest pre-heater tubing they have.

Is there any tech reason to use a 1 in. hose instead of 3/4 in. I did a quick measurement and the exhaust on the pipe looks to be around 3/4 in.

The intent of that rule was to keep people from attaching the piping or tubing to the muffler and trying to gain any advantage of a stinger or anything that would enhance the performance.

I hope the heck someone can loan or sell me 7 inches of that stuff? I have been using 7/8ths OD aluminum tubing. And the above business/link will not ship overnight? And I have hit every Napa/O'Rieileys/Autozone, and hardware store in the Kansas City Metro area!!!!!!! I cant find any?

Most of the places like Zone/ O'Rieleys only have it in 1 1/2. Walk into the nearest one and ask for some Pre-heater tubing 85/86 Chevy Caprice or Pickup.

Motormite / Pre-Heater Hose 96022

That will get you by until you can get some 1inch

Paul ,,, I get it at,,, CAR QUEST,, part number is ,,96028,, it is 1" x 36" cloth covered , aluminum center , Paper liner ,, Works great especially after the paper gets soaked in oil and blows out , I do put a line of shoe goo full lenght just to help hold it together ,,Robert :thumbsup:
