Is there an optimal temp after coming off the track that we should be looking for.........

Yeah I start alot of threads, but not having you guys to chat with at the track I have to ask all these questions on here, plus its building a great reference for others since Nitro is not that big, once we get bigger and more nation wide the more reference we will have available.......

Not really. What is optimal is for all 4 corners to be very close to each other.

Me, I do not check them often, I probably should. I look for wear on the tire, making sure it is not Gatoring and look at the stopwatch. If it is not graining the tire and it is fast, I do not care what the temps are. If I cannot get the car to handle well I will look at the temps just to see.

Scott is right. If the car is setup correctly and working like it should, I spot check the tires as soon as i take the car off the track. If they still look new, and all look the same, then the temp doesnt matter. If one is gatoring , or looks worn, then I check the temps just to get an idea of how the temps compare. Our cars are not hard on tires, so if one gators, the car is not set up right. Its a no brainer.
