Is the nose light in the mobius seaview right? on other models i have seen on the internet the nose light (the glass part) portrudes much more, and in my opinion looks much beter. The mobius light is completely flat. Did mobius get it wrong. This is my only complaint against an otherwise exelent model

you're not alone there. I was thinking the same thing. although i noticed that the clear plastic has a slight magnifying property, so it should channel and focus light quite well. Still, wish it were more rounded.
any ideas on substitutions, gentlemen?

Take the lens, add the contour you want, make a mold, cast the new piece in clear.alexander

Yup.. I have a remedy and am gonna use it on mine. Using milliput, work the light housing in the nose out a bit. I will need to work it wet, and do some sanding and or filing afterwards to get it smooth. A #2 pencil, using the eraser end, will help form it when I apply the wet putty. After that is done, I will clamp the hull so that the nose points straight up and then I will inject enough hot glue into the housing to JUST overfill it. I will let that dry and drop a tiny dollop onto the dried (Cooled) glue and form it from there with an xacto knife. Hot gue can be pretty opaque when it dries, so it may take a few attempts to get it right. I have to go on a deployment until late Sept. so I won't do it till then. I will post some pictures when it's done. It might not turn out that geat, but I have done this with lighted models before and it worked out fine. So We'll see.
