One thing that I have found about Carrera track is that I do NOT like the guard rail that comes with the track.
Anyone have a lowbuck solution for retaining walls or guardrail for Carrera track? This is not a permanent track, it is set up on folding tables and torn down at the end of the night...

I've seen some guys recently use the mesh wiring that you use to cover the gutters to keep leaves out as retaining walls. In fact, if you are setting up the track on like a ping-pong table or something like that, you could just have enough to run around the edges to retain the cars.

The other side is that since you are running these cars and track with youth, they tend to like to see things like that happen, so you may think about an external power supply that is adjustable and dial down the voltage to the track - maybe drop it down to 10-12V. That usually helps a lot too.

Scott,
Remember my track? Your son jumped the wall? Well I worked on it for a while and came up with this.

Maybe we can adapt it to your track.
