I haven't visited or logged in for about 6 months. It's nice to see several familiar names still on here. I set up a small track in my apartment living room several weeks ago. That was the first and only time I've run any of my cars this year. There have been some major changes in my life. I miss the hobby. I still have most of my slotcars though. I'm glad to see that Hobby Talk is still here, alive and well!

Welcome back Patrick. I don't remember you because, well, I just recently discovered the joy of hobbytalk. It's really improved all my relationships. Now, I don't have to call my friends every five minutes to talk about slot cars. We can all get some work done, which is important, because, I haven't figured out a way yet for my hobby to pay my bills. I may find that answer right here, among thousands of posts. I will have them all read someday. My first four lane track was built in my first apartment living room. It wasn't exactly a chick magnet. There's ways around that though. Find a chick that likes cars!!!!! More power to ya on your new track. When's the next race?

Hey Rich,

I don't know who Patrick is, but it isn't me.

My "chick" DOES like my toy cars!

Hi Fred,

Nice slammed Turbo Hopper in your image file. I have a number of these cars and would like to lower a few, did you simply compress the springs?..RL

Hey XracerHO,

I left the front springs intact, but I pryed the rear of the body from the chassis, removed the springs from between the chassis & body, then used the springs as spacers between the flanged part of the pins and the top side of the body and pressed it back together. Then I replaced both sets of axles & wheels, including the rear gear assembly, with regular 440X2 set. I also decided that I like it better without the spare tire & front bumper.
