A big tire nightmear. When I was a kid I used spacers on t-jets to clear
a/fx rear tires and wheels.

then the last one. Both are sill for sale under Mustang / Slotcar page.

Funny that...

Ya see way more killed Kamaros then moided Mustangs. The first one is not that hard a fix. Problem is coming up with donor slabs for the rear fenders. Usually ya dont find viable rears on a car with a destroyed front. That one makes me flinch....it's a very nice pony otherwise.

Example two has some salvage value....not much ...but some. Looks like the scale cutting torch (lighter) was used in the back. I always save the interior panel and front clips with bumper bracket and screw post. Extra Crispies like that require intensive cleaning are set aside for when times are tough and I'm short on plastic.

How about we start a "Hall of Shame" er "House of Horrors" thread?

I wonder if the posts are cracked on them? nd

The boys are looking over their winnings. I don't know if the Goopster can fix this one??? Not much left of the red bug.
I got these from the auction block. I won the red Ford truck. To help justify shipping I bought the Bronco also for parts. The Truck is in great shape other than a little chrome wear, even has both tail lights and both stacks. The seller said they would throw in some extra parts. Opened up the box and found 2 T-jets included, not much left of the bug, but it runs. The buggy needs a windshield and a driver, but it runs good!!! WooHoo!!!...RM

Geez Randy, that bug looks like it is missing more body than it came with! Still, a very nice freebie! I have found some darn nice chassis under some butchered cars - like the perps carved them up in a moment of either inspiration or mania, then, horrified with the results, hid them from light of day forever.

Still, if the screw posts are good, is what's left in VGC, or would you list it as "played with?" "VW emblem and vintage flowers intact" LOL

All in all a good find Randy. Light yellow "Doom Fuggy" is a keeper.

Oddly I have a red bug in the almost the same condition. With their overly thin design it doesnt take long for them to gas out and become even more brittle than they already are/were. 'Sploded and cracked Humpties are all to common and IMHO it's why they still command a fair amount of coin when condition is good.

Too bad ya dont have all the chunks....it could have been do-able. The upshot is that she still has a few good panels. Better save it for a rainy day!
Ya may come across a decent beetle that needs a fender or skirt. Stranger things have happened. :freak:
