My favorite is the 1957 DeSoto Adventurer.

Thanks for posting the pics.

I like the DeSoto's. now all we need is a 1955 Chrysler New Yorker to match my ebay find this weekend.

The '57 Desoto looks really cool. I think the entire diecast world could continue to exist without another 1957 Chevy casting though. Nice to see an early 50s Ford and some vintage Mopars in the mix.

I agree Zach, but will probably ( in time) get the Chev as well as the others. Fred also has pics on his site of 4 "Stretch" models in multi paks. I'm gonna need to see these up close first before I go for these, however !

WOW.. 6 NEW CASTINGS .. Nice surprise from the early reports of just 3 new castings...

That 55 Desoto is close to perfect.....

The 57 Desoto looks chopped .. Way too short on the wheelbase .. The real one has fins that go waaaaayyyyy back . This version should have looked like the 57 Chrysler 300 from ERTL..

I had to agree with one of the other guys on this forum. Why would you want to cast a 54 Dodge? . But they did this one PROUD . I really like the accuracy and love that color combo....

The 55 Dodge is not bad . The solid yellow finish was not a great choice . The second color scheme found on Fred's site is way more like it .

LOVE THE 53 FORD !!! Good stuff .. Nice choice of color with the black with white/red interior .. Hope they do this one in the mild-custom version..

I don't mind another 57 Chevy.. It looks fairly correct , scale wise , and it's a 2-dr hardtop ( can't get that from a Johnny Lightning..) . The two colors for this one are sweet .. BUT.... it looks like this one also has a screwed up Chevrolet/ gold "V" insignia on the hood and trunk .. it's really a mystery why no one can successfully pull that one off..... :freak:??

I am extremely pleased that there is a company that's willing to spend their beans on diecast from the 50s .. especially with the not-so-popular years and makes... I really hope they sell out all they can make so the new castings keep coming out . or .. that someone at M2 has a very rich uncle.. I know I'll keep dumping my cash for these babies!!

I haven't purchased any of these yet, but from what I've seen they look great. May have to pick up a few:)

I'll take 5 of the 6. Does the diecast world REALLY need another 57 Chevy?!?

They look good ! I agree , we dont need another 57 Chevy ! The 57 Desoto does look too short in the rear . Still a must have batch !!!

I agree
The 57 Desoto looks chopped .. Way too short on the wheelbase .. The real one has fins that go waaaaayyyyy back . This version should have looked like the 57 Chrysler 300 from ERTL.. I think the Ertl version was way too long. This one looks a bit more in proportion IMO. Hopefully I'll have the same opinion when I see it IRL

I had to agree with one of the other guys on this forum. Why would you want to cast a 54 Dodge? Why not? I love it. The last small scale fifties Dodge I can remember was a cereal premium. But they did this one PROUD. Agreed! I really like the accuracy and love that color combo....

The 55 Dodge is not bad . The solid yellow finish was not a great choice . The second color scheme found on Fred's site is way more like it . Agree on this point also. The second is peach, black and white which was a factory combo. Sounds bad but looks great! Now for a 56 Plymouth to match!
LOVE THE 53 FORD !!! Ditto!Good stuff ..

:freak:?? The jury is still out on this one. I'll buy it though. I for one am happy they made the Chevy.

Hopefully they will learn a very quick lesson that the customs don't sell very well. They are verturing into the stretched limos and well... time will tell. The clear cars are cool but I've not bought a single one yet. Looking at the OLDs they show how many they have left in stock few others have. (Look at Greenlight issues of stock and custom as another example)

Nice to finally see a diecast company putting out some good looking and accurate old school big iron.
