Hope ya guys run for the West side this weekend. We need Team Chronic there! You guys are just insane running your buggies :thumbsup: I saw Swint run at Dukes last year and his wheels only hit the track about 20 times during a lap. Now thats definitely Chronic racing :thumbsup:

Even though Don is right about less fuel mileage and spinning more, here are the rules from either side:
FTMS:
1/8 FUEL OFF-ROAD
Maximum Buggy width - 12.2” (310mm)
Minimum weight - 112.9 ounces (3.2 kilos) 7lbs .9 oz.
Wheel diameter Minimum - 3.2” (81.28) Maximum - 3.4” (86.36mm)
Maximum wheel width - 1.75” (44.45mm)
Maximum tire width - 1.85” (46.99mm)
Engine - .21 only
Transmission - 1 speed only

MX131:
All ROAR rules apply (same as FTMS), with the exception of 1/8th scale buggy where if the car comes with a RTR engine that exceeds the .21 size, it is allowed as long as the engine size does not exceed .28.

We would follow the MX131 version of these rules, unless Al decides otherwise.

WOW lots of things to answer tonight:

John: We spoke to Dave W today and are going to set him up on the top pit area where he can drive from his van lift. Should work just fine. I think Dave was going to check it out friday to be sure.

For all wondering about camping /set up: We will be out at the track before noon on friday so if you want to camp, practice, or just get set up, its all good. The only spot I'll reserve is for Dave walton to place his van so he can race from it. Other than that, its first come, first choice.

Don: Dave started breaking in the new motor for you today, so no prob. you'll be set to roll. As far as whats burning Friday night.... Cold beer + family + anything grilled = A GOOD TIME. What more can I say. Gimme a call or stop by and we'll figure it out.

Hey man for tires we like to run Bow-ties, crime fighters and hole shots, it all depends on ur driving style and how the track is that day, on friday we are gonna try some k2's and i willpost as soon as i can on how those work.

I'll second the Holeshots and Bow Ties...both work really good depending on driving style and track condition. It seems that if the track is a little loose (first heats of day, or before loose "marbles" swept off) Bow Ties work the best, giving great forward bite and corner speed. But, as the track firms up and/or dries out, Holeshots seem to work even better...really giving great grip in all areas of the track. Just my two cents worth....hope it helps!

I say let him run it! This hobby is more about car setup,luck, and skill level,
my 21 would run with most 27's and 28's anyway. I say bring it on! its not like
we are racing for money. just my opinion.

Heading out to the track right now to start prepping for this weekend. We are gonna resurface some areas and add a few new features. Got a group coming out about 5:00 to help so if anyone wants to join us......the more the merrier:thumbsup:

Sign up starts at 9 AM, racing starts at 11 AM sharp. $20 for the first class, $10 for any additional class. Looking forward to see you out!

We worked on the track tonight and made some changes and there will definitely be some big air now! We (well, Hank and Dave) came up with another interesting obstacle that turned out very nice! It will be an awesome day Saturday!

Just in case the weather is bad Saturday, Sunday will be the fail-over day for this race. This race will happen this weekend.

I stopped out to the track today after I took the boys fishing and holy sheet. That is an awesome layout! Al if you wanted big air you got it now. Talk about hang time :thumbsup: Your not gonna believe the air on the tabletop. Let's just say you can shoot for the moon if you want to. If you like big air this is the place to check out. They have added to and totally redesigned the track. Some awesome things were done to the track that I have not seen before(I'm not gonna tell anyone). Fast, big air and technical all in one track. This is gonna be great for 1/8 and 1/10 scales. They put some thought into this one to keep both scales happy. RV's are parked and ready. Bonfire Friday night! Plenty of wood to burn! Just have to get a chainsaw out there, cut and load it in the bucket of the tractor. I'll try and do that when I get out of work Friday. Hopefully the rain will pass around us Saturday. If it doesn't Sunday will be the day. It doesn't sound like anything major just a chance for some off and on showers which will actually feel good with the humidity and temps. I'm really looking forward to this Shootout! :woohoo: See ya all Friday night for some practice and Saturday for the race. :wave:

The liverc.com thing is not looking too good right now. We tried Al's laptop tonight and it was acting up quite a bit. We will try again in the morning to see if we can get something together but as of right now, liverc.com is not going to happen. We will post here if we will broadcast the event as soon as we get it to work. Sorry Kevin.... ;-)

LDBEER and CHAINSAW'S don't MIX! My frind Matt thought he would use his hand to guide the bar luckily he didn't cut his hand or didgits OFF! Wood gets cut before tipping from now on.
