Have a 5HPP Briggs and Stratton Mod 130212 engine on a generator. Noticed a metal sheen, very tiny metal particles, in oil. Engine runs fine and does not smoke or use oil. Could this be normal wear or something to be concerned about?

Is it the orginal break in oil in the engine ? If not then i would pull the generator part off and remove the oil sump and give everything a good look over. Just to put your mind at rest. Then put oil back in it 30 HD oil and go with it.

Thanks for reply. The engine is about 15 years old and has had oil changed several times.
