I am just getting back into the hobby after a 6 year layoff and I have lost all of my notes on tuning.....Is there a tuning guide out there or can you guys give me some info ???

When I have too much steering or too little steering.....what do I check first and what do I check next and next ???

When I have too little or too much traction.....what do I check first and what do I check next and next ???

Any tuning advice you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.....I will leave details of what I drive below and the type of tracks we have in our area.

Thank you in advance for any help you give a brotha.

Losi XX4we
Losi XXX4
Losi XXXTmf2
Losi XXXcr
Orion 4800 Platinum Lipos
Losi Xcelerin 10.5 for truck
Mamba 4.5 for XX4
Novak Brushless 6.5 for XXX4
Losi Xcelerin 6.5 for XXXcr

Semi Loamy rough open tracks with lots of jumps are the norm down here.....hole shots of the better ones and step pins to ifmar studs on some of the rougher ones.

#1 Will always be tires. I'm used to hard packed clay, so I'm not sure what's best for your track. Check Pro-Line and Losi for tire charts.

2nd is spring, oil and piston. Rougher tracks use lighter oil, smoother tracks can use thicker. Pistons make a small difference compared to oil
Springs affect jumping, trning, and rear traction. Softer for more bite and less lift at that end. Stiffer spring for less grip and more lift at that end
Adjust positions on towers and arms for smal changes, when changing springs is too much. In on the tower softens the suspension

3rd Will be static chassis changes: Roll Center/Camber Link positions, then caster, camber, toe, and anti squat. Longer links allow the car to roll more in the corners, making it more forgiving and less likely to slide out.

Try this

Not specifics for your particular track, but good theory.

Check out the manuals for each of your cars. Losi has some great tuning tips in their manuals.
