View Full Version : I want to get a RC Nitro Truck
stormatics 06-22-2008, 12:31 PM any suggestions on which direction I should go? I am new to RC and have recently purchased an E REVO. I want a gas RC so to add to my collection. I want it to be almost bomb proof, easy as possible to work on and the capability to up grade if I decide to get into racing. One thought is to go with the Revo if suspension parts are inter changable. Any other suggestions?

smitymike11 06-23-2008, 11:26 PM Here is the big question. How much do you want to spend and what are planning on doing with it? Do you want a Monster truck, truggy or stadium truck.
I would suggest a Losi LST2 or if you don't want to spend that much you could get a aftershock. If you would like to check somethings out about those truck just check out www.lstforums.com

# the truck with the SUV lid is a Savage
# the small trucks are T Maxx
# yellow & black truck is a MGT -mod with LST2 front & Rear Big bore shocks
- the truggy is a Haboo truck
hope this helps !!!!
DIRTsportsman 08-05-2008, 12:27 AM Y not stay in the revo family? If you already have the e revo then it would make sense to get a nitro revo and stock parts for one type of chassis.
Bill Justice 08-07-2008, 11:25 AM Thats what I would do. I've had two revos, the original 2.5 and the 3.3 they are really easy to work on. I only broke once...
DBlive 09-04-2008, 04:01 PM I have a closet full of Savages. I love to bash them and do insane jumps. They are very durable. It may not be an option if you decide to race though.
Kyosho Racer 09-04-2008, 04:28 PM Bashing--Savage
Racing--Revo
kra2y 10-12-2008, 09:48 AM the suspension parts are interchangable in the revos and traxxas makes durrable products
ROCKY 1 01-25-2009, 05:11 PM i would recommend a hpi savage, which one is up to you, but i have some friends who own savages and they are TOUGH AND FAST! i own a wheely king and will stay with my electrics.
rclugnut 01-26-2009, 07:42 PM bashing savage for sure, and can be made into a racer with time and $$$, i love mine and you wanted bullet proff, i've busted almost nothing on it
the lug
LOSIwanaBRacer 01-27-2009, 06:18 AM mayhem st,losi 8t,mugen mbx5t
bustednuckles 01-28-2009, 09:47 PM monster truck: revo platinum all the up grades are already done you just need a bump box and a receiver.
buggy: rc8
these are both really good trucks, i race bothe of them just about every weekend in the spring, summer, and fall.
