I found this old Hot Wheels playset in my basement, and I'm wondering if it might be worth anything. It's an Inside Track playset. The sticker on it's peeling. Does it have any value?

I assume there was suppose to be a picture attached??? Any old HW set would be worth something, but depends on what you call "OLD" and mostly condition. Obviously a 1969 set would be worth much more then a 1989 set and both would be considered 'old'.

Details, need more details. =)

Unfortunately, I don't have any pics because I don't have a digital camera. I suppose I should try to get a web cam and take a pic of it with that, but I hope my description of will suffice. It's a little dirty, and the copyright date on it is 1981. It opens up, and I can pull tracks out. It also has a wind up thing that I can use to pull the track back.

I forgot to mention that it has a double track. Is there anyone who can give me an idea of what it might be worth without visual clues? If I decide to put it on ebay or try to sell it on the swap & sell forum, I'll see what I can do about getting some sort of digital camera for cheap then; but right now, I'm not trying to sell it.

Hi Jason, I'm looking at my tomart's guide 30 years version ( older book), shows a pic of your set, value back then was 20 + price on the price tag. Originally had 2 cars with it, but doesn't say which 2. Looks like a cool set. If it isn't against copyright rules, I'll post a photo of the pic in the book . Eric

Yes, it's something like that. It has a yellow handle attached to it when it's closed.

Yeah, that looks like it's the exact one I've got. I don't know what you mean by a lift. I see a little ramp inside, but that's it. It still works pretty good.

the ramp mine had was yellow plastic and it kind of raised and lowered the cars kind of like a drive-on hydraulic lift if it were life size if i remember correctly

The same name as the pictures in the pic that chi1979. I don't know what he means by a lift; but in the pic, I noticed he doesn't have that yellow plastic piece next to where that '58 Corvette is in the pic. As far as I know, that's the only piece that's missing from mine. Like I said, it still works pretty good. I can still push those orange things back with cars and press the buttons to make them go.

I don't have either of those two cars you're describing. I think this one might've come with a red Corvette Stingray and a blue car that looked old-fashioned. In that bottom pic, I still have that black car in the middle; and I still have the Corvette Stingray; but they're not in very good shape. Do you have an idea what this set is worth without the cars? Is it worth about $20? I'm not going to sell it if it is. If it was worth a few grand, which would be enough to buy me a real car, I'd try to take a pic of it and sell it; but I doubt it's worth that much.

if you want to see what one is worth just watch this auction on ebay, i am guessing around $15 but i would love to have one that is complete myself, there is actually one under completed listings but it didnt sell, it was missing the yellow thing we talked about, the little ramp thing in the pit area. I am not 100% sure on the cars that came with this surely there is some information one the hotwheels website about it, x the hotwheels website it is so hard to navigate it now who could find anything
