I bought a cheap ring roller today to make rings from 1/4" solid rod.

Question is this......do all these ring rollers leave marks from the knurls on the wheels or am i doing something wrong?

Try using a thin strip of plastic in your rollers to stop the tool marks.

That's how they work, the knurls are needed to grip the material thru the rollers.
