I am looking for photos/screen saves of the missile room. I have found some of what I need in the original movie and the Jonah and the Whale episode, but I am looking for any more pictures I can find.

Or even the names of good episodes to watch that show unusual angles of the missile room?
I started to build a mini-sub bay and realized that the inner doors can't open inwards, with water pressure, they have to open outwards, against it, but how do you get the doors to close with a diving bell or minisub into the bay? They slide sideways and downwards, is what I ended up building, just to see if it would work. But now that I have opening inner doors, why not show off a missile room from underneath?
So yes, looking for pictures, too. Also have movie and Jonah but what other episodes are good for references?

I think the missile room doors would drop down first- pressurizing the lower chamber whose doors then would then open to the sea. The pressure would keep the water out of the missile room. I do not know that much about subs (infantry guy) but I think that would work.

The doors would be open while bell or mini-sub recovered to the missile room. My guess would that both sets of doors close at the same time. The lower chamber would drain once closed- like the flying sub bay would have to. I am sure Irwin Allen had it all worked out.

That was my question about a kelson hatch, and if the Seaview had one, where the air pressure in the room would counter the water pressure of the sea and keep the water at least down in the well. But the mini-sub is used where the pressure is too deep for divers, and with a room as large as the missile bay, I wonder if that amount of air isn't too compressible to keep serious water pressure from flooding the room.
So, no one with any references for other episodes we can check out? Time to start scanning DVDs, I guess.

Dude - they used one of Nelson's inventions: A force field!
