Seems a good time and day to get racers together, /note/ that on any given weekend there are so many places to go its getting harder to know were to go to find competition.

This seems like a winner!

c,mon 4 wheel guys, lets do this. Tell your buudys

Thanks Jason. The BFG Friday Night Smackdown series it is. (Now I will probably hear from Vince's lawyers.)

Here are the details:

First race is this Friday, June 13. (Yes, Friday the 13th) Classes will be limited to 13.5 truck, mod buggy and 4wd to keep things from getting too split up. If we run every Friday night from now until mid-September that would be 12 races. (July 4th and August 29th would not count toward points as they are holiday weekends.) I am thinking 4 drops. If it rains, we run inside and it still counts as a points race. The finale would be September 19th. Race fee of $15 for first class and $9 for second class with $3 of every entry (1st or 2nd class) going toward end of series awards/prizes. Awards/prizes will include trophies, and gift certificates to local hobby shops. Planning on making sure there is something for everyone that runs 8 races out of the 12. The more racers, the more we can give back at the end.

Oops, we will start racing at 8:00 and should finish around midnight or so.

John

Edit: PM me if there is anything you think we might need to tweak.

Friday night under the lights is going to be a very nice option for racers. Sure hope it turns into a huge night of racing.

You missed a pretty good turn out last night in 4WD Swintster. Think we had 5 or 6 top knotch guys out last night to race with us. Where were you?

Truck and Buggy you better get your points in early! This Friday will be your only chance to avoid the "Jack E"

I'll be in Ohio. So it looks like this Friday will be your only chance to get in some 'clean' racing!

You raced me clean last night in buggy E. Think we only touched once and it was just a glancing shot, didnt even slow either one of us down. Unlike Brad and I last night, we punted each other two or three good times.

As long as you give way to the leader, everything will be just swell.

Unless something unexpected pops up on the radar, we should be good to go outside tonight. Hardly got any rain at the track last night, but track was covered and will be good to go as long as the rain is not coming down at race time (8:00 tonight).

Forecast says Friday night should be perfect weather for the 2nd round of Friday Night Smackdown.

Don't forget, there are 4 drops and you've only missed one race.

Doors open at 5 and racing starts at 8.

Weather doesn't look so good for Friday Nite Smackdown. We will be racing, rain or shine. This is the 3rd race in the series. Have your indoor tires/set ups ready just in case. The tarp is out on the track.

Crossing fingers for outside.

It's time for Friday Nite Smackdown!!! Racing starts at 8:00 tonight.

Looks like the weather may finally cooperate. Rain is supposed to hold off until after Midnight and we will be done by then.

Still time to get in on the series. This is race 4 of 12 and there are 4 drops. You've missed three and still have a drop in your pocket if you come out tonight.

The Slashes will be added to the series starting next week, July 18. That will leave 8 races for them and we will allow 3 drops.

You can check out the series points at www.battlefrontgaming.com

Time to bring it to the top again. Friday Nite Smackdown tomorrow night, July 18. This is race 5 of 12. You can come out for the next 8 races if you haven't been out yet and still be in the series.

We will start the Slash series tomorrow night. If you haven't gotten one of your own, I have 5 available for rent. $8 for the rental (I provide the batteries all you have to do is drive) $15 for the race fee for a total of $23 for the evening.

Racing starts at 8:00. 3 heats and the mains. We are usually done by Midnight.

We will race regardless of the weather. If it is raining or threatening we will race indoors.

Friday Nite Smackdown this Friday, July 25. Slash class is just under way with 7 races to go and 3 drops allowed. I have 5 trucks that can be rented.

Other classes this is the 6th race coming up (halfway through the series.) For those that have already exceeded their 4 drops or know that they will not complete at least 8 races for 13.5 truck, mod buggy and 4wd we will not charge you the extra $3 for the series, just the regular $12 race fee.

Racing starts at 8:00 and we are usually done by Midnight. Bring on the Smack Down!!!!!

Had a great time Friday running Slash and Truck classes. It was great to have some youth out there running. It looked like they were having a good time out there. They should have anyway, they kicked my butt out there.

The track anymore is just amazingly fast. Don't know if it's dialed in, if its just that time of year, or what, but it was good all night long.

Kind of wish I would have been able to hit more of these points series races this summer. Lot of fun out there.

Friday night smack down. About 12-15 guys. Very nice group of guys.

Thomas stopped out with his Mom and Dad from spring lake he got a Raminator RC truck and wanted to race us, so we helped his Dad get it built and charged etc. Thomas was on the drivers stand ready to race. We had to explain to this poor 6 year old that his vehicle is not a outdoor racer, but a "indoor track racer". This kid just wants to get air! I hope his parent have $-- might have a Dakotah on their hands.

E- What did you decide on oil weight again? gotta figure out why I'm not getting the handling right. its not bad, but I have a feeling that I need a little more bite, little more traction to get to 13 laps.

Fun time Friday. Thanks to all who marshalled for me so that I could run both classes. I'll get you back in a future race.

Good to see new faces at the track, especially young ones. E did an phenomenal job of hooking them up with their Raminator. Maybe early Friday (6-8) or Saturday between offroad and oval we have workshops where we help newer drivers get their cars set up and show them what to do if they want to race. Not every week, maybe once a month. Let craig know so that anyone buying a new truck can get set up if the come at those times. I think it would be fun.

Hello everyone. I just picked up a new slash and can't wait to run it. I tried one before and they are a blast and very tough. Is there anything I should be aware of as of breaking parts? What battery packs are being used? I only have one pack and it's not a lipo. I do have a couple lipo packs coming soon. I hope to make it out there soon but not sure when. Have fun and hope to see everyone soon.

We will be racing indoors tonight. The track got a really good soaking last night and I will not be out until 5:00 to clear puddles. Just won't be dry enough I am sure.

John

Tonight is a points race.
