Just curious.
It was debuted at the same time as the Reliant and T&C wagon, no?

I got them the first of the year - had posted them on the board here a few times. Supposedly select Walmarts were suppose to get them but they have been backordered a number times when I have re-stocked....

The last new Fresh Cherries I saw in stores was the Matador! I don't even bother to look anymore, I just go straight to Mini-Motors when I hear of something new.

I ordered both colors not to long ago from MINI-MOTORS, Inc. They look great and priced good. Plus shipped wicked fast. I owned a 1-1 in blue a few years ago so they were a must have. I try (if possible) to get a casting of cars I have owned. Not easy, some need to be custom made.

It looks like the stores are a little gun shy when it comes to the Fresh Cherries line since they seem to end up on clearance. I see TRU has them for $1.99. The WMs around here seemed to have dropped the line.

Trying not to DODGE the question and be DIPLOMATic about it, I understand this casting will be showing up for Bingo at the MotorMax Dirty Bingo Pizza Party at AutoFest.

Dear All:

The Diplomats finally hit eBay, and the net result was a high amount of bids per car (six were offered) - 12 or 15 - and high prices as well (two had a $41.00 tag price on it; started at $ ,99!!). So I say these are popular items; Minimotors themselves ran out of them quite quickly.

This gentleman, Joe, did a kit and assembled model of the Diplomat in 1/25 scale and was selling his creation last month at well known Auction Site. Likewise, these also saw high bids and prices.

I got an order today from MiniMotors...good stuff..got the '81 Reliant and Aries, '83 Diplomat, '79 Town & Country, '81 Omni and Horizon... haven't seen any of these in the stores.

Are they doing an '83 Fury also? Maybe down the road they will do an '83-86 Le Baron conv. with the T&C wood trim..

The Wally's near me finally got the 1/24 cherries. I grabbed a diplomat and a T&C wagon but they also had the Omni GLH Turbo. They rang up at $13.00/each.

I am satisfied with the detail but the tires are a bit skinny.

Either way, the diplomat has a future date with some paint stripper. It's diecast but finally a diplomat police car can be produced!

Still waiting for these to hit US stores. If anyone wants to buy an extra Dip anywhere I would compensate you for it and shipping to me.

I picked up 3 1/24 scale Diplomats within the last 2 days and they kick ass! I build police car models and this model will make a fine addition to police car builders everywhere.

Now someone should make a 1979-1991 LTD and we are in business.

Haven't found the 1:24th one yet, though I've seen them on ebay. I got the 1: 64th a while back, neat casting.
