I am using what was suggested on the other thread......
Flywheel -- ASC7610
Clutch nut -- ASC7604
Flywheel collet and spacer -- ASC7618
17t bell -- ASC7607
Associated 16t clutch bell is discontinued
MIP Clutch for rc10gt -- MIP3012 (Clutch for rc10gt)
Bearings for clutch bell are 3/36x5/16 flanged bearings.

Except I am using the Assoc Clutch Shoes, and it seems I have had to shave some of the shoes off just to get it to not make the wheels move at idle, is that right?

Boy I am having problems remembering all the things to do that I used to know about these things, MAN......... I am getting the McLin disease.....

You should not have to shave any off, or atleast i would not think you would. Maybe need to go to a heavier spring. They make aluminum shoes for the clutch, KSG< AND BANDIT try them. I have always used the mip 4in1 clutch and i have never had any problem other than when it wears out.

The associated shoes does not use springs. Go with the Mip 4n1 shoes. You will be happy with them.

I thought the Associated shoes used the springs that hooked onto the pins of the flywheel and then on the shoe. I am only assuming this, I have only used the MIP.

Latemodel-- when you get the MIP in the car you will like it. Install it and forget it. You might want to clean up the inside of the clutch-bell(pinion) with a ScotchBrite pad. That way you are sure to get a good grip.

ScottH thanks for the advice, I will have to check it out.....

I might need some heads up knowledge of how to put on the MIP, it looks different than the others........

It comes with instructions, very easy. The only thing is you will need to knock the pins down some for the MIP to fit properly. Then use a cutoff wheel on your Dremel to grind off the excess that sticks out the back of the flywheel.
