The one in the pic is deffinatly green. Seller states buyer gets car in picture. Hope that is what the buyer got.

Whoever it was, it was a deal of a lifetime. That's probably cheaper then driving to the local toy store, and finding it on a peg, or even case fresh. I wish it was me. Whoever it is , " nice score for sure ".

Just because it says you get the car in the picture, does not mean you get THE car in the picture. The seller of that car marches to his own beat. What he thinks, what he says and what he does are definately three DIFFERENT things. I have dealt with him in the past and NEVER will again. I don't think he has any intent to do wrong, there's just a short circuit every once in awhile!

If He Does Get The Green Machine Sweet Score, But I Think He Might Get The Regular Version For That Price Good Luck.

Does anyone know who the buyer is? I'd be curious (SURPRISED actually) if he/she receives an actual Green Machine. Like I stated, I've dealt with Tim before and I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that the buyer gets the regular issue Mustang. Plus, that does NOT look like a picture he would take. The quality is very good!

Whoever got a deal when it shows up. At this point I would wait to see what car shows up. I bought a 69 Chevy hunt the pic showed a super and when it ended he told me that it was for the regular. He had in small print that it was a reg =on the bottom of the auction. There are shisters everywhere.

if he doesn't send the green machine in the pic, then that is not the car in the picture as he stated. i'm sure the buyer will take any action against him possible if he doesn't get the green machine shown in the pic.

it's black not green.
the car shown in the pic is clearly a green machine, not black as you state.

The sad thing is if it is the green it will probably be on the bay or trade & sell boards as soon as the buyer gets it. WHY you ask only PROFITEERS get deals like this not a collector who would put it in their collection, the sad but true part of our hobby.

I won the BIN on TTP. The email I sent after paying it asked what number was on the bottom, and the seller emails me some song and dance that when he was getting the car to box it up, his son told him he traded it to a friend, and that he was sorry. He said he listed it without knowing his son traded it.

I emailed Paul B, and he said he would get in touch with the seller, and a few mins. later I get my Paypal back plus $5 in a second refund.

Figure I need to recontact Paul and see what the seller told him. (It's not like I can get blood out of a turnip now).

it almost makes me wonder if someone else had contacted him after the listing sold offering him a little bit less than the car is actually worth which is still a lot more than his $9 asking price. from what i am hearing about this guy, he wouldn't hesitate to do something like this. :(

from what i am hearing about this guy, he wouldn't hesitate to do something like this. Or just maybe he reads what goes on here and saw this post and thought "Whoah, I jacked myself" thus the reason why WLPaul didn't get it. I say "Hey, if your gonna sell, learn about the items" If you sell something and you jacked yourself then it's your problem, not the buyers. The buyer should get what they expect and nothing less.

I really doubt it!! Like I said, I've dealt with this guy. I think he leans towards the simple side. My roommate tells me this guy was around in 1995 on RTC in its heyday. He dealt with him exactly one time with the same results I did. He cannot recall him ever ripping anyone off, but messed up deals on a regular basis. He's just plain GOOFY!!

i highly doubt the seller is on this board and read this post thus making my post the reason paul didn't get it. if the seller was a member of this board and spent any time reading and posting here, i'm feel pretty confident that he would have known that the car was worth much more than the $9 he was asking for it.

if anything, i feel someone else had seen the ended listing and contacted the seller offering him more after the item sold. perhaps someone read the post here and contacted the seller offering him more for it. not that i think anyone here would undercut another member of the board because of their greed although it's been done many times in the past.;)

Here's what I emailed the seller. Maybe he'll think hard about it, maybe he won't.

I want to tell you that with pretty good certainty, someone emailed you after I won this car, and offered you more money for it. (I want to believe that your son traded it, but I can't). If you haven't sent the car to it's new owner yet, I want you to know you have a chance at doing the right thing, and mail the car to me. I will pay you what I won it for, plus the shipping and the $5 extra you sent me.

As a buyer, I run the risk of buying something that isn't what it is. You, as a seller, have to have the integrity to do the right thing if you don't list it right, or, in this case, sell it for less than it is worth.
I don't expect an email back from you, but I wanted to let you know, that I know what is happening here.

Remember also, that people on a few Boards are talking about this, and that can't be good for business.

He did reply. Someone offered him $30, and he said it wasn't there to sell to that person because his son traded it. He said he was sorry again for his mistake in listing it.
