When I turn the key to on for the first time absolutely nothing happens. Then I turn the key off, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. This time I get a “click, click, click” sound. I turn the key off and on again and it cranks very slowly. I turn the key off and on again and the engine cranks fast enough to start. After it starts, the engine runs fine the whole time it takes me to mow the lawn.

I have cleaned the battery terminal connections and charged the battery. I suspect something is sticking but, I don’t know what. Any suggestions?

You should have your battery load tested, it sounds like your just not getting proper current to your starter. Make sure all connections are tight and that the ground cable where it connects to the chassis is also clean and tight.
