I have been in the rc hobby for over 15 years and it has been a great hobby with great people,but then you have to have some people that have to ruin it.Look at the ad L4 cheap in the oval section by DOUGHBOY,he sold this car to my son and what is in the picture is nothing like he received.The tires and bearings were stripped from the car also the center shock was changed with another shock that was junk the servo mounts were also taken off the car.The car was advertised as a roller and as many years as I have been in rc a roller has to have tires to roll.Be aware,don't deal with this guy he does the ol bait and switch.It's a shame that this has to be posted but I feel that I need to warn others as to how this guy does business.

I had the same thing happen to me. I bought a Pro-3 slider that was supposed to be roller in excellent condition from another person on Hobby Talk and I got scammed big time. Car was missing so many parts it wasn't even funny. As for the excellent condition that was a joke also, the box it came in was in better condition than the car.

I guess you and I both took on in the A$$.

Yeah, I wouldn't be happy with that. I got a box full of parts that where all garbage. I know remember why I just pay more and get it new than trust other people.

Any other time I would go out and buy it new but I got hurt pretty bad at work and moneys kinda tight.Ijust started getting back into R/C a few months ago to keep myself from going crazy but I am doin it on a very limited budget.

It's to bad that my son had to have a problem with him,what he did was totally uncalled for.You don't advertise something with a picture then send something completly different.The car he received was'nt worth 50.00.It will cost around 50.00 or more to replace the parts he stole from the car.People like him are going to ruin sites like this because you will worry about getting ripped off.

I did... I made everything right with him and we are cool now. I sent him the money back and I sent him the tires. So i dont understand how this has anything to do with you?? But I guess people open there mouth to something they dont know about...

Auction doesent say anything about getting a servo so that would of been something i would of emailed him about. The auction also said it would include Center and side shocks it never said which ones. It never said you would get the Tamiya center..

its amazing how guys that got caught are the 1st ones to come to eachothers defense...........Dont take a picture of something and post it for sale unless the items pictured are included......end of story...I hope you guys work it out......

since your so unhappy with the car just send it back and i will give you a refund. i am sure that i can resell that car for the 80.00 you paid for it and probably more. i think 80.00 for that car was more than fair and if you think i ripped you off just because i put the stock center shock back on it and didn't put on a set of 7.00 servo mounts on it then send it back..none of this was done to be malicios i just belive in talking to people like a man instead of hiding behind my computer and strong arming things from them... i am usually the first person trying to help some one out by giving them stuff to get them up and racing but i take great offense to people talking bad about me when they dont know me....

first off doughboy what would have made me happy is if I got the car the way it was advertise and the reason I dont want to send it back is because I spent all night clean the hell out of the thing and installed my electronics all but the servo because I didnt get the mounts.Also ST ODIE I tried taking care of this through pms and emails but he refuse to clear his pm box. I really dont want to ship this back because this guy is very shady. I could ship it to him and then all he has to say is he didnt receive it then he would end up with my money. I have read all the post all the threads and looked at all the picts
This is my take on it

1) Doughboy you posted up a car for sale and put in the ad Put in your elec and go
That means Tires bearings and a servo mount
2) you posted a pict of a car Bases on your ad discription The only thing in the pict that didn't go with the car was the servo The shocks tires and bearings and servo mount goes with it AS Shown in the pict per your ad Description

Based on that and what has been posted I recomend the following
1) Doughboy Send him the Bearings The servo mount the shocks that and tires That where in the picts And Josh will send back the shocks on it
2) Josh you take Doughboy up on his over of a Paypal Refund which wont take out fees but If I am correct he will only be able to do it for the $85 that you sent him The other $5 will have fees and transactions took out And send him back the car regardless of what you have done to it Take back out your elec and send it back to him

I Highly recomend #2 and than post up in the wanted section you are looking for a Pancar and I am pretty sure someone will hook you up

Also Josh next time please wait a couple days for ppl to get back with you before posting up info
As for everybody else please give them a coupel days to get this worked out and I am sure they will post up the final results

DOUGHBOY has made this right he is going to send me the parts. I do not think this will happen again I am sure from now on he will be very clear in his adds as to what is being sold.

This is just a case of 2 guys a buyer and seller that have different views on buying and selling and both buyer and seller should take a look at what went wrong with this deal. I do think that the seller agreeing to give the buyer his $$$$ back and the buyer sending the car back is a step in the right direction. But all this could have been avoided with some simple rules on buying and selling on here.
1)pics are a must
2)ask questions if you dont and something goes wrong or doesnt meet your expectations then shame on you.....IE the meaning of "a roller" we all have a idea on what a roller is and some are different then others.
3)if you post a pic then EVERYTHING pictured unless otherwise clearly stated should be included so if it had tires in the pic then it should come with tires and no part swapping if you dont want to sell with a certain part then say so in the add or just swap it out before the pic is taken.
