I just finished canbomb painting a Dash VW Bus and 3 of the sides look good, but the drivers side looks like it has a very bad rash. So, do I need to strip the whole bus or can I strip or sand the drivers side?

I have been thru that all the time.. when that happens - i would strip it again (pine-sol) and do it over.. its a pain.. there are some JL , AW and some resin bodies does that.

Will I found an easy fix. I used paint thinner on Q-tips and rubbed the drivers side out. Then used a soft cotton cloth to make sure it was nice and dry. Rresprayed the drivers side and came around the front to blend it in. Does not look to bad. Now I can't wait to finsh it.

ahh cool man. for me i would have to do it all over to make it look right . sometimes i used OOPS it does work ..

What no pix? We're always looking for customs that members are working on. Especially if it's something they screwed up. :)

Has anyone had to strip one of the Dash bods? I screwed up my Chevelle with some Microscale decal set for the hood decal I was trying to snug down. Guess the decal's glue didn't like it and turned into a gel like film which when i started cleaning off mared up the hood's clearcoating. Anyway, went ahead and put the bod, less all of the parts that come of, into my regulaar stripping solvent. Took three days to get it where the rest of the clearcoat would come off. Paint still looking pretty. And I thought the AW piant was tough. :freak:
