I have asked this question on the "better bulbs" thread as well but figured I'd put it in it's own thread. My ? is about the accual headlight bulb that goes into the headlight housing USDM versus JDM. Are they the same ? if not are the JDM versions available in the U.S. I ask since I am planning on making the switch on my car from the U.S version to the JDM version of the headlight housings. That and switching the driving lights in the lower bumper.
Any info on the bulbs for the JDM driving light or headlight housings would be great. I'de hate to buy the housings and find out they take an odd bulb.

bulbs are bulbs.. the japanese bulbs usually have a higher rating and are more "bright" than your standards. id go over to a JDM specific site and ask.. as i doubt there are many JDM'ers here.
I did have a CRX once and put the JDM wrap around headlights.. and used Nokya's :P generic as can be :P

The Bulbs can usually be interchanged on most models...HOWEVER.. thats not the issue. JDM light hoisings are designed for RHD cars and USDM for LHD cars. The signifigance of this is that when driving with USDM headlights the beam pattern and cutoff light the Right hand side of the road but do not run over to the left hand side. IE keeps you from blinding oncoming traffic. but RHD cars do the opposite.. So when you swap them the cutoff line gets focused towards the Left side of the car...So when driving down the road your blinding everyone and are not lighting up the side of the road..
