Hello all. I have a motor from radio shack.

http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2911245&cp=&sr=1&origkw=dc+motor&kw=dc+motor&parentPage=search

And I'm in need of extending the shaft to 1full inch. I originally planned to use tension pins, but having trouble. The 1/16th size when I try to open it, keeps breaking, the 3/32 size won't let me close it. What else can I try? The shaft is 1/4 now and need it extend it another 3/4.

all the best,
-Rich H.

I don't know whether you would have room for this in your application but I would suggest a piece of 1/4" OD aluminum rod with a hole drilled and reamed to the exact dimention of the shaft. Then get a piece of drill blank the same diameter of the shaft and join all the pieces together with red or green Loctite
