Enjoy djnick66 06-05-2008, 08:21 AM That looks really good. I assume you are putting in lights? It would be a shame not to see all the fine detail work you put in (voice of experience here...) beatlepaul 06-05-2008, 08:36 AM Very,Very Cool Sir. A somewhat different take on the actual control room/ set, But fine worksmanship none the less. That's The best part of actually Building the Kit, Instead of just Talking about building the kit, Build it How YOU LIKE IT!!! Again, Great work! BP AJ-1701 06-05-2008, 09:52 AM Looking good mate. I like the sillohetes on the vertical plotter. MonsterModelMan 06-05-2008, 10:02 AM Nice work! Did you make your own decals or did you get them somewhere? They add so much more to the kit...! MMM Ductapeforever 06-05-2008, 01:53 PM Doing my own markings, and adding details like the compartment bullseyes, compartment checkoff lists, battle lanterns (Fire extinguishers comming soon) , additional furniture for the observation lounge, and yes it will be lighted with LED lighting. Dar 06-05-2008, 08:44 PM Excellent work. Im really enjoying the progress of your build.:thumbsup: kidcury 06-27-2008, 12:28 PM Wh at is the life span of an led,i realy dont want to go to all the trouble of instalng a lighting system in my seaview, and then find after awhile one or more has fizled out. I cant see any way to repl ace the leds once the model is fully cemented together jbond 06-27-2008, 01:29 PM Well I can't think of any light source that would last longer than an LED and I've never had one burn out due to use in a model. Steve244 06-27-2008, 01:31 PM Wh at is the life span of an led,i realy dont want to go to all the trouble of instalng a lighting system in my seaview, and then find after awhile one or more has fizled out. I cant see any way to repl ace the leds once the model is fully cemented together Typically LED's expected life is measured in 10s of thousands of hours (50,000 hours is not unusual). Actual life will depend on the circuit it's part of and how well it's protected from too high currents and temps as well as the quality of the LED. Pairing with a proper resistor is essential to long life. For intermittent model lighting you don't have to worry (as long as you have a current limiting resistor in the circuit). gareee 06-27-2008, 03:07 PM I think leds are our best bet of what's available now as far as lifespan.. besides, in 4 years, when Moebius releases a 8 windowed version, you'll be wanting that anyway.. hehee! kit-junkie 06-27-2008, 05:16 PM Very nice work! vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
