I'm looking to get into brushless, is the Sidewinder 1/10 Brushless any good? thats all my hobby shop has or should i ebay a novak 13.5? Plus, the sidewinder rates there in a number like 4300 (not sure the real number) and novak does it by 13.5 how do i compare the numbers?
One more thing, is the losi 5000 lipo any good? I have one on the way

bnc a 4300 is equal to aproxamately a novak 10.5, keep in mind that if you plan on racing any spec type classes (stock=17.5 , super stock =13.5)you will need a a sensored system like a novak or lrp that will run a sensored motor.

Ya, it did look complicated to me... I run stock at my indoor carpet class, but for the new offroad track i'm going to this weekend has a stock class / 13.5 brushless is mixed... I figured there was something off there

I doubt that you would be allowed to run the mamba in a brushed/13.5 class. The sidewinder is a 4600 and will out perform a 13.5 hands down. It would be more sutied to a mod class. The 4600 mamba LOVES gear. (big pinions)

True True
I have a Sidewinder/Orion 13.5 (sensored) and a Mamba Max/4600 in two XXXT Losi.
The track I run at lets the 13.5 run stock and the 4600 is mod.
The 4600 is WAY faster than the 13.5.

Go ahead and get the Sidewinder system. It is the most bang for you buck and there are quite a few local drivers (Have Fun Hobbies) that could help you with set up.
