Took a trip south this past sunday. I met Bill & Robin at the Shelton car show. I got to see his award winning Porsche (Froggie). :) Lots of great looking cars to drool on. :freak: Even a few GTOs LOL. But the best part was getting to see where the "Model Murderer" performs his "magic" :woohoo: :woohoo:. And don't ask...no trade secrets will be revealed. Well maybe...all bribes will be considered :jest::lol::jest: Hope to make the trip again and run some slots.

Thanks Bill!!

To say the least. First local show is in the books. The hi point was having Win 43 make the long trip down the peninsula to hang with the criminal element. Jerry and I didnt get a chance to play 'lil cars much, but guaranteed we'll get to it another day.

Jerry and I wandered back to my slotcave, prior to his return to Port Townsend. In the meantime we missed awards cuz I thought they were at 3:00 not 2:00 ...LOL. As I walked back down the boulevard friends were congradulating me on a class win and commenting that they would much rather have Robin at the awards ceremony. Hahahahahahaha! Bless her. I'll toss up a wad of pics that she took for show and tell. Her choices...I'll try to make sense of them...LOL...naw... she's a gear head and did good!

While the award was a tasty treat, the real prize was a hand delivered slot car from Jerry. I'm now the proud owner of his bitchin' Chebby Cop car. It'll be a kick to run with my hot rod lincoln when we get together next time.

Pic 1: Owner of the 35 Stude Paul Kamin, My Mom (didnt get her vette prepped for the show...and I heard about it) myself , my buddy Jerry (Win 43) Gill.

Pic 2: Paul's 35 Studebaker President was a barn find that I fluffed up as is, mouse holes, scum, scuz and all...a real time capsule and crowd favorite.

Pic 3: Les's Camaro got a lot of love both on saturday's parade and at the show.

Pic 4: Local gear head, longtime friend Lee LeGuarde's Willys. He traded his one owner fuelie 'Vette for this guzzler and whispered to me that in light of current events it may have been a mistake. hahahahaha!

Pic5: Baby blue, Robins fav color. The wild white and blue tuck and roll and stripe detail on the wheels aggrevated my astigmatism and made me dizzy....cool!

Pic 1: Billet rods arent really my thing but Robi appreciates a good one and snapped this pic.

Pic 2: This Novacaine has always tripped my trigger and the builder left no stone unturned on this ground up car.

Pic 3: This ones a regular around town and is always beautifully prepared.

Pic 4: "Midnight auto...home of the five finger discount"... LOL...it

Pic 5: A nice WIP (work in progress)...nifty!

Pic 1: One of many old sleds and lurking in the forground is my buddy Danny "Dick" Dickinson's vette He's had it since we were in high-school.

Pic 2: A local pony, and crowd fav. Pic doesnt do her justice.

Pic 3: Robi has an eye for good horse flesh...did I mention she likes 'stangs ...LOL!

Pic 4: Neighbor Gary's '29 tudor. he's had this field find since he was a punk kid in 1961. I like it's demure look. Plenty of snort from a 351.

Pic 5: This car was an out of town freshy and is just gorgeous. Nuthin' like a fine three winder with just the right amount of rake.

Pic 1: This guy was late and got shoved off the boulevard. A gorgeous, and beautifully prepared example. Typically the event planners underestimated the turnout so ya gotta detour to see them all!

Pic 2: Another high-school buddies entry. Dan the locksmith dug this old girl outta the woods wya back when and built this crowd pleaser. Early in the day, ordinarily this thing is crawlin' with 'lil kids and Dan'el indulges them.

Pic 3: Slapped froggy with the buffer, spooted some armoral on the hides and slathered her in Zymol. Not bad for 13yr old resto that sees 150 mph on the rare occassion.

Pic 4: Nice rig for a family outing. There's something to be said for a hot rod ya can pile the whole family into!

Pic 5: Had a back to the future giggle when I saw this. The finish on this car was near flawless and the top install was perfect!

Pic 1: Paul and his better half Vicki. She puts up with his new wife, the 35 Studie, and all his other bull crap.

Pic 2: Is Pat (Rodent) Rhodes. His claim to fame is being our paper delivery boy from 2nd to 7th grade...on a unicycle!!!! He also holds the record for the rustiest mustang in known history still on four wheels. Seen here in LOL mode when I asked how the tetanous mobile was.

Pic 3: That's Eric (Eee Vee) Valley, my lawyer, and grade school chum. His dad is one of the shows honchos. Eric is one of my customers, him and Rodent were up in the Olympics hiking that weekend so we didnt get his cream puff Alfa Romeo prepped for the show. They'd just crawled down off Mt. Elinor to make the show.

Pic 4: Is Les's boy Blakey. He got to ride in the back of Dad's Camaro during Saturday's historical parade and chuck candy to the kiddees. Seen here keeping uncle bills chair safe from invaders and still handing out candy to any passer by. LOL Poor 'lil fellah is gonna crash hard after a two day sugar binge!

Pic:5 Best dog at show by a long shot. Dont look to deep into those eyes... or you'll be under his power.:freak:

Thanx for riding along and letting me share!

Wow, and in the far background, at least 3 VW "Things" - that qualifies as a convention, doesn't it? I see one every blue moon.

What's with the coats? It's June..... or does the calendar run behind in Shelton too? LOL

Thanks for posting the pics, looks like a fun event!

Scott: The play by play of this Novacaine is completly documented in the dudes album that ya see on the ground. The only word I can come up with is "unreal". To actually do this rig justice it takes about half an hour to go through his book and slither around his car.

Wingless: Depending on what ya like, rock stock, custom, dragcar; this puppy is easily the nicest/most interesting custom one in our region...by leaps and bounds IMHO.

RR: Thanx, I'll tell Robi you said she done good.

Split: Sun? What's that? Part of yer kit includes sunscreen and an umbrella and it wouldnt be a stretch to use both in the same day. This is one of those butthole springs where ya may have to light the fireplace on the Fourth of July. We get a couple like this every decade. Last one like this was '99.

It was threatening rain all day. Wouldnt be the first time we got dooshed! A short while ago we got pounded two years back to back. Survival Tip: Did ya know that coleman folding chairs make a good water cache? :freak:

"Things" arent overly common on a whole. However there's a good sized Thing club in Olympia, 20 odd miles away.

Beautiful cars in the pics, Bill. It is always really cool to see the unique 1:1 stuff.
Man, You and Jerry are so lucky that you guys get to hang out and do the knuckle dragging thing. LOL. I am glad for the both of you. A bit jealous for sure, but happy all the same.
