A few weeks ago, a guy from my local track had some extra rc stuff just sitting around pretty much collecting dust. it was an older L4, Fm radio, older lrp servo, cheap futaba servo, spec 6 cell, half used body, and 2.12 or less YELLOW TRC tires! he knew a guy from work that was slightly interested in RC cars but didnt want to spend alot of money to put his foot in the door. so ofcourse all of the extra stuff that he had sitting aside that wasnt being used went to the NEW guy for $150.00! ok this is a really low price for a full rc setup but if its just not being used then why not? a month later and now the new guy goes to practice and will start racing very soon! he is very close to being bitten by the RACE BUG! I think that a huge percent of rc racers have this older stuff that could easily be put together for someone to start in novice class. I know there are cheaper cars that are on the market just for this situation but sometimes even at the Budget prices, some people wont spend it! so i say if you have stuff that you really cant get a great price for it might be a better thing to keep an eye open for the NEW GUY? :) just a thought. what does everyone else think?

Thats the way to go!

If you big RC racers have extra stuff (And I know we all got extra stuff we never use but think we are going to.) It will help us all to help out the new guy. This can change a lot of things in Life. RC is a small hobby compaired to other big hobbies out there so the more the better.

This can also link to a new buddy at the Track. Being a youngster coming into the hobby. As we all know theres a few thing young people can seem to get thereself into that will lead to a bad life. But if we can get RC into a lot of yong people it will make the hobby more interesting and keep people out of trouble. But you guys can only change this. It dont matter who you are and what you got RC is something that takes a driver to win. But RC is not about Winning all the time, its about having fun and keeping it a hobby not a LIFE. When it is taken as a way of LIFE this hobby can start changing it very fast. I have seen young guys lose there marrige over a silly RC car race. I have seen fight break out because someone took someone else out. There s not need for it. Guys are just making the hobby not much fun.

If we can get more people interested into the hobby then lets do it. We enjoy it why shouldent they??

Just my 2 cents
