The book that is in the kit shows photos of the restored 17' model. Photos on page 4 show notches in the keel at the engine pods. Should these be cut out or were the notches there for production use (i.e. model movement)?

Does anyone have photos/drawing of the diving bell/mini sub hatch interior? I thought about opening the hatch and detailing that interior area if I can find enough references.

On the real miniature there was a pistol grip control to open and close the Flying Sub Bay doors. A diver, would, out of camera range and on cue, would open the doors..

Other than that there was nothing inside there...
