Is Batman sci-fi?! Well, toys at the very least. I was at Wal-Mart tonight & I found a couple of the 1:50 vehicles! I found the '66 Batcycle & the Batmobile from "Batman the Animated Series" that was on in the 90's, IIRC. The packaging says that there's going to also be the Barrismobile, the Tumbler & a Batmobile from the comics.

If you think the 1/50 cars are sweet, you should check out the 1/18 Barris Batmobile...It is TOTALLY FREAKIN' SWEET!!!!

I feel that the 66 Batmobile is truly sci-fi since it has an atomic battery for power, and all those cool gadgets. Plus it has the same engine sounds as the Jupiter 2, the flying sub, etc.

There is no 1/24 of the Barris Batmobile. It has been produced in 1/64, 1/50 and an incredible 1/18 (which is available in three levels of detail and price) Just find a standard 1/18 and get some of the new aftermarket parts to superdetail it yourself.

You know, maybe since the Batmobile is just so bloody long, I thought that the 1/18 was 1/24! :lol: Wouldn't mind getting that 1/50 Batboat, either! :thumbsup:

No. Batman is considered to be of the Superhero genre as opposed to Sci Fi.

Well, since we don't have a "hero forum" this seemed like the most logical place. Besides some of those Bat-labels look pretty futuristic! :)
