Well the other day I took on a project, Had 3 Briggs engines 1 complete and 2 near complete ( both of the near complete where missing the same parts. I had a bunch of good push mower bodys so I figure Fix up 1 or 2 and sell them. The Complete engine had a PTO that was to short to use on a lawnmower ( came off a pressure washer ) So I figured just pull the crank from 1 and put it in the other. Got both the engines tore down went to put the crank back into the engine I was going to use and was quickly stopped dead in my tracks. Connecting rod journals where diffrent sizes. So I pull the Heads on both engines and remove the pistons. I see that the cylinder walls on both engines are in perfect condition still having some crosshatch and the piston and rings where perfect. So I clean everything up and go back with the piston and rod thats for the crank I need. Put the bottom end of the engine together. I went and got a new head gasket, air fliter, spark plug and carb kit for $25. Finished putting the engine together and rebuilt the carb. Put some 30hd oil in the engine put a few oz of gas in the tank, pull the cord 3 times and it comes right to life. Engine is so quiet sounds like a honda OHV engine. Accelorates smoothy Hardly any viberation even without a blade. I think I got a reall winner. Iv got a good Highwheel MTD yard machine push mower that is just missing the engine so im going to bolt it to that and sell it for $75 I think.

No better hobby then one you can enjoy and make some extra $ on the side.
