Hey Dudes and Dudettes,
Try using size 6 Knitting needles and a 8-32 die to make links using Traxxas rod ends,,,Big ones.
The Knitting needles come in tons of anodized colors, Larer ones like size 8 can be drilled for studs to be inserted or for braces between side frame panels.
They have worked on several crawlers for me......Oh yeah to been them they need to be heated evenly. Use hot oil bath for like you would to bend pvc or plexiglass. Use motor oil and submerge the pieces. Allow them to get to 160F-180F them remove from oil and bend with tubing bender. Do not use anything with teeth or the anodizing scratches off.
Use a shallow pan and a propane torch toevenly heat oil around item submerged. Direct heat on parts is not good even heating. Let oil heat parts instead.
They work great on the AX-10 ...like the 30 degree links they sell.
