I am very happy today and want to share these with images with everybody
Today the postman delivered :woohoo:another one of these classic Cadillac Sixty Specials to me filling a gap in my collection - its metallic lilac with a cream rather than a pink roof and less common gray rather than silver wheels with a black baseplate all in a decent D box.
Here is the lilac with a cream roof, green tinted windows and gray plastic wheels on the D box compared to lilac with a pink roof ,clear windows and silver plastic windows on the first issue B box.

Lesney changing a few details makes putting this different pair together pleasing:) I suspect the pink or cream shades used on this casting match the array of pink/cream shades used on the no 22 Vauxhaul Cresta

And here it is with the rest of the family in my collection.I dont have the black plastic wheel issue yet but have covered the main paint colour variations. On top is silver with a pink roof, centre left is green with a white roof, centre right is lilac with a cream roof and both the flanking cars are lilac with pink roof

Finally the baseplates - satin maroon on the far left, one in black and the other 3 are all the same shade which the guides call crimson

Karl- No good deals on the F & G boxes missing from my collection but I do feel blessed with sweet opportunities that i cannot refuse these days to add a few older boxes and casting colour variations to my display.2008 is my first Cadillac year:)
And here are my other auction wins and flea market scores from last week:wave: Everything was cheap except the Caddy, and it wasnt expensive:hat: too nice to say no to these....

I added another variation to my collection of these Caddys at the weekend. Using the Nick Jones code system I now have in this lineup from left to right codes 2,4.5,7,8,13,14 with the final black plastic wheels issue being the major different variation that I still miss. For $6 I was happy to add the good code 13 even though I need to raid my beater box for a spare axle and 2 9x24 silver plastic wheels for the rear axle

And the model that most regular wheels collectors rate as their favourite Lesney of all time, the 22b Cresta, yesterday a dark bronze black wheel variant joined my collection for a mere $10 -all six of these cars costing me between $2(beater copper/turquoise) and $16(gray/pink) each, a bargain by ebay standards and no shipping because they were all at local toyfairs/fleamarkets:wave:. I feel very blessed with diecast in this city knowing how tough it is for many in other places to get great vintage cars at affordable prices
