Ive just seen that Kyosho's next series is going to be Maserati. They will be the Ghibli, Bora, Khasmin, Merak, Spyder, GranSport, MC12, Quattroportte, TP61, MC GT1. I must say that I am excited about this release.

Nice. That is what I like about Kyosho. Something new, not the same old car that is already available in 1/64 from another manufacturer. So what kind of Maserati was Joe Walsh singing about in the song: "Life's been good to me so far"? My Maserati does 185, I lost my license now I don't drive...

Wow!!, what a release, ten cars ten superhits. I think there is one missing, the Maserati Biturbo, but damn the others are awesome. Thumbs up for kyosho.

All I can say is...GREAT!

It's actually funny, as I think many of us expected this series to appear.

Can't wait to get some of these.

LOL I dont know which one he was referring to, But if it was anything like when I got caught doing 94 in a 60, he probably got a free ride somewhere lol.

I agree 100% They are all great, but I was really hoping to see a version of the Biturbo in there as well. The coupe or convertible, maybe even the 4 door 430. Its a start though and maybe with these cars missing, that means we will get a 2nd series :)

Thanks for the link! I don't own any of these Kyosho 1/64th scale cars myself, but I am taking a long hard look at these now.

Exciting release for sure. This just might be the first release that will force me to order cars from Japan. (By the way, can anyone recomend a good retailer that has reasonable prices and shipping charges?) The Tipo 61 is a stunner and long overdue in 1/64 scale.

The only slight improvement that could have been made in this otherwise-stunning series is perhaps not including both Bora and Merak in the same release (saving one for the future) and including one of the following classics instead: Maserati A6GCM, 3500 GT, Sebring, 250F, or Mistral.

Here is hoping for Maserati series II!

If our sponsor, Tiny Toy Cars, steps up to source out some of these....I would consider Henri your preferred retailer. You're not going to steal any, but conversely you won't get soaked. Prices and shipping are reasonable, packing is excellent. You just need to be patient while these things go around the world twice. Beyond that, there's ebay or personal contacts.

If you do ebay- a couple cautionary footnotes to keep in mind. Production rejects seem to proliferate with certain ebay sellers. You should be safe with anything advertised as complete with original packaging. These are apparently sold as a complete collection of all variants per case. The individual boxes are all the same with no indication of which model is in it....so the box must be opened to determine what's inside. Expect that.

The rejects are always incomplete packaging and even though the seller describes article as "mint", something is going to be messed up on it. I guaran-g___m-tee that.

Good luck on your endeavors.

Hey Superbird77, You were the 1st person I thought of when I spotted these. I remembered us both wanting this series when the VW's were announced. Maybe someone from Kyosho is spying on us lol :)

I hope Henri is going to get these - he's a good egg to deal with.
