i have a craftsman lawn tractor with a 19.5 horse 42" deck model # 917.270810 if i spray starting fluid in the carb or just let it sit for a couple of days it will start and run for about 10 seconds any sugestions what is wrong with it

Your carb is dirty, needs to be cleaned throughly and a carb kit put into it.
