Hey guys,
Here's a neat thing...
A while ago, while searching for a cheap LED set up for another kit, I came across these keychain flashlight things at the Wal-mart. while it ended up not being right for that particular project, I found a new use on the new mini flying sub.
I removed the keychain attachment, and using a spot of Epoxy putty, stuck it to the floor of the Flying Sub. because the switch is pressure sensitve, I could affix the top part, and with the slightest squeezing motion, the light comes on. plus the flashlight adds some weight and heft to the little kit.
two downsides, tho. You have to keep holding it to keep it lit and the battery will eventually die out, but those little flashlights last a good long time, so I'm good for a while.
thought you might get a kick out of seeing this
cheers
