looks neat ... you got a paved parking lot and a building now be careful just like the little cars you start collecting. you buy one ,then another . buildings are the same l.o.l.
nice job on the caddy.

The building was salvaged from an HO logging shed, the lot was originally done for a taxi yard I had done for my office.
I'm still trying to decide how to set it up permanently.
The Caddy is my fourth Matchbox, here's a VW Thing I did for CHris (Lpgeoteacher);

I did a Chevy stepside, but I'm not quite done with it yet, and a VW bus I didn't like when it was finished. I set that one aside for now.
I'm glad y'all like it.

Beautifully done,all the cars really do look like they are standing in a wreckers yard.The building is fine too:thumbsup: How do you make the car windows look so dirty?
Model stores sell small grains of green plastic that makes great grass or moss,or you can get real fine grain sand if you prefer a more desert like look - aside from oil stains car yards tend to have plenty of moss,grass or sand around cars that stand for a longtime- these pix are great inspiration to get us all moving on some kind of carlot backdrop to display cars that we want to photograph for forum posts

The building and paved lot is just a mock up, I'm not sure how that one's going to come together yet.
Making the windows dirty is easy, I use Testors Dullcote to knock the shine off my custom project cars, this 'frosts' the glass, that's most of it right there.
I sometimes use a 'dirtwash' I made from pouring a small bottle of flat tan into a jar of brush cleaner.
Thanks for the compliments.
very cool diaramas and good job too
