Have been messing around with nitro cars for the last 3 years. Someone just got me a Tamiya TA05 kit. Want to make it as fast as posible. Any ideas what is needed? I was looking at a Novak GTB/Velociti Racing Brushless System 3.5. Will this work? And what type of lipo battery would be good for this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

the 3.5 and a lipo would do it for sure, i just dont know how long the car would last !! i hope you only plan on running in parking lots, where you cannot hit stuff when you are doing about 60mph. and as far as what lipo to get, get one that is in a case and that will strap right into the 6 cell slot that is in the car.

unless you kinda modify things, only the hardcase 7.4's will fit in the car. a 3.5 and a 11.1 volt batt, i would bet the farm you will blow diffs out left and right. your gonna have a real hard time with tires too, even with the 7.4. i think the biggest mah batt in a hardcase like i said is 5000. that should give you about 20 minutes runtime with a 3.5 just doing speed blasts in a parking lot.
