I wanted to set it up on the 12th so i wouldnt conflict with anyone elses race but I need to think of whats best for this track and giving the racers the time that they need to be ready. So if you guys could post which weekend you would want to have the race and we'll go with the majority. I will post the date after viewing your responces next Mon., thanks. Are you thinking a 1 day race or 2? If 1 day, Sat or Sun? Rick Beero 05-27-2008, 07:30 PM Steve, I think having the race a week earlier, or after the 4th will give you the best turn out. Also, I was thinking that we used to have a race at the end of the year "the fall Classic". We used to run it on the second or third week of september. That was there are little or no other "big" races going on, and the best chance to draw a lot of people. Joel lawnguy 05-27-2008, 08:47 PM July 4th for us 2 sliders 2 nitro stock 1 nitro super stock better stock up on nitro parts lol. how about you HPI guys you comming???/ ICEMAN96 05-27-2008, 09:53 PM STEVE ANY WEEKEND WORKS FOR US WE WILL BE THERE.JUST GLAD TO HAVE A PLACE TO RACE,,AND THAT HAS 5 DIFFERENT TRACKS TO RACE ON AT THAT:thumbsup: adamliehr 05-28-2008, 12:26 PM Steve, I think having the race a week earlier, or after the 4th will give you the best turn out. Also, I was thinking that we used to have a race at the end of the year "the fall Classic". We used to run it on the second or third week of september. That was there are little or no other "big" races going on, and the best chance to draw a lot of people. Joel Agreed. I'm already committed to be at Freddies on the 4th. -Adam General 05-28-2008, 04:09 PM I know that some people have plans to do other things that weekend, but like I said i need to do what's best for this Hobby Shop and These Race Tracks. I will never get all the racers at this track for the same race and to think that I would ,well that would be nuts. But at the same time I'm not going to just sit here and not have any races because other tracks are having thiers, that would not be good for the racers that would like to race here nor would it be good for buisness. I hope you guys do great at Freddie's,I wish you the best of luck, and i hope Freddie has a good turnout with his races, but I have a good group of guys that has been supporting me and this track since I reopened, and alot of new guys that has put time and effort into getting other people down here to race with. So for the people that want to race we will be racing on the July 4th Holiday weekend. Fri. will be open practice from 11:00 am -8:00 pm. After practice there will be a group of people going downtown to watch the show. Sat. morning we will open the doors at 10:00 am and racing will start at 1:00. I will post more in a few mins got some customers. adamliehr 05-28-2008, 04:26 PM Just kinda stinks, I wanted to make both races. Adam ICEMAN96 05-28-2008, 10:16 PM Just kinda stinks, I wanted to make both races. Adam IF YOU COULD MAKE IT TO CLASSIC WHAT CLASSES WOULD YOU RUN.WE STILL HAVE MOD AWARD PLAQUES FROM THE SPRING BREAKOUT WHEN NO MODS ENTERED General 05-29-2008, 08:20 AM I will have the fall race as well. There are just alot of people wanting to race that weekend because of the holiday so I need to do what the racers are wanting. General 05-29-2008, 08:41 AM Sun. we will run all the mains after practice and warm ups. There are going to be some really good prizes handed out to promote this track and all the others that are at this facility. I have a few in the store so far for the pan cars, and I'm personally going to give a car for each track away a KSG, a nitro Tc3,aB4,and a late model. I will draw one for the pan cars, one for the nitro, and one for the 18 scale. And then there will be one race on the offroad track for all the first place winners from each class and they will compete for the Platinum Edition Revo.(cool ya think)There will also be some really good other prizes given. I've been talking to some of the distributers and their willing to help promote these tracks to get them going since all of the hard work weve been doing to get them in and to get new drivers into the hobby . Like the name of the race its going to be a blow out. I will keep you posted on how things are going, so keep talking and posting, and this should turn out to be one of the best races for this year. Thanks :woohoo: General :woohoo: General 05-29-2008, 11:17 AM You guys are all a great bunch of racers and we have a great time everytime you come to the track, so this is just a little way of saying thanks to all of you for all the support you have been giving me. General johnt 05-29-2008, 04:40 PM so two races same weekend 30 minutes apart this is really kind of rediculous on everybodies part so i will not be at anybodys race . JOHN TAYLOR General 05-29-2008, 06:31 PM This race is this weekend because people do things on the holiday weekend and like i said I need to do whats best for this track. If I do the race the week after, people dont have off to get away,if I have it the week before the people dont have off. So like I said I'm doing whats best for these tracks and ths people that like to race here. I think people need to step back and take a good look at whats going on between these two tracks instead of talking bad about each of them. Freddie built his track to do what he need ed to do to help his buisness, and also because he loves the hobby and what he can do for the hobby. He has done a wonderfull job so far. He's got one of the best 1/4 scale tracks around, he put alot of time and money into that track to make it a great place for people to race at. He has brought new people into rc world because of it, and I'm pretty sure thats what he had planned. It's not that he wanted to put walt out but he just wanted to do the best he could for the hobby and his buisness. At this track I had an oportunity to do the same thing when I took it over. I built a nice new track, and pit area so everyone would have a great place to race inside. I built new tracks outside so we have a nice place to race. I'm bringing alot of new people into this hobby because of all of it. So when you sit back and look at everything, what do you see? I see these two tracks doing what WE need to do to bring as many new people into this as possible and to support the racers we already have. I see both tracks becoming bigger and better every time you turn your head. I see OHIO as one of the main places to hold the big races just like they are held everywhere else. I see me a Freddie getting together and holding some of the biggest races around. Maybe I'm just a dreamer , but dreams are where everthing comes from, just look at both places already and that is proof. So the next time people talk about these tracks I hope they take a good look at what these tracks are doing for them and for each other and you will then see more positive things on these threads than negative, You will then see people working together to have bigger and better races than ever , and then OHIO will be on the board for being one of the best in the US for all the differant stiles of racing, not just a couple. Thanks for listening. Steve Kid Kahuna 05-29-2008, 06:54 PM Here! Here! Amen! I second the motion! God could not be everywhere so he made Track Owners!! Thanks Freddie and Steve! NatalieMorgan 05-29-2008, 08:42 PM so two races same weekend 30 minutes apart this is really kind of rediculous on everybodies part so i will not be at anybodys race . JOHN TAYLOR Thats pretty petty if you ask me. Way to support your local tracks. Im sure youll be the first to complain when you have no where to run... SKEEMCIRE 05-29-2008, 09:28 PM Whats the difference between the nitro stock and super stock? Used to race nitro on that track years ago and really enjoyed it. Wouldn't mind getting back into it. Lohrr1 05-29-2008, 09:29 PM Steve, You've done a great job of building a very enjoyable place to race. Keep up the great work. I know it's always a "work in progress" but we all appreciate what you've done. Rick Lohr General 05-30-2008, 08:35 AM the super stock is the non factory motors that hits 55 mph +,(18s, picco, nova rosi, serio) i have a serio 12 five port turbo that blows the stock 15 away so it wouldnt be an equal class for everyone. There will be stock out of the bock with minor changes, and then team cars with bigger, badder motors. General:thumbsup: General 05-30-2008, 08:41 AM Thanks Rick, all we can do is keep slugging away and take the hits as they come. I plan on doing all that I can to keep these tracks progressing in racers attendance, and modifiying them as needed. It takes a little time but when their all done everybody will be talking about this place and ALL the racers that come here. General Lohrr1 05-30-2008, 02:47 PM the super stock is the non factory motors that hits 55 mph +,(18s, picco, nova rosi, serio) i have a serio 12 five port turbo that blows the stock 15 away so it wouldnt be an equal class for everyone. There will be stock out of the bock with minor changes, and then team cars with bigger, badder motors. General:thumbsup: Can we run electric in the Super Stock class? Rick General 05-30-2008, 11:41 PM I think we should leave the electric in the electric class that way it dont cause a problem when it comes to the first place winners for the cars from each class racing for the Revo. Steve:thumbsup: General 05-31-2008, 10:41 AM There is also another car, which will be a KSG givin away as a first place prize, you pan car guys gotta have a car to. General 06-01-2008, 12:19 PM We will also be sealing the track two weeks before the race that way people have time to get the tire set up figured out. General Lohrr1 06-01-2008, 07:01 PM Steve, For the Spec Truck class, is it bring your own stock motor? and spec tires only or any tires? For 17.5 & 13.5, is it BRL rules(back of body in & spoiler only)? Rick General 06-01-2008, 07:29 PM On the spec truck its 3000 windtunnel, run your own 27 turn, and any tire combo. On the bruschless its BRL rules only. General ICEMAN96 06-03-2008, 04:18 PM Saturday We Run Our Pan Cars And Believe It Or Not The Only Thing We Changed Was The Pinion Gear Went Up 5 Teeth And Flew Never Touched A Spring From The Inside Setup So Pan Car Guys Bring Them Out stesh 06-03-2008, 09:19 PM General - About the big race on the 5th what is the plans if it rains General 06-04-2008, 08:54 AM We can come inside, we cant let alittle thing like that stop us,it only does that when we play in the dirt.
