hi

i am most familiar with pancake cars and Tomy/BSRT G3 platforms

i have a couple slot tech, tyco and wizzard chassis that need some love

please chime in if you can answer any questions

1. what kind of guidepin does slot tech use? a tomy guidepin is loose

2. what is a good sponge silicone tire height for stock tycos? 442?

3. what is a good sponge silicone tire height for stock wizzards? for a wizzard chassis with stronger traction magnets?

4. what is a good sponge silicone tire height for slot tech chassis (pink?)

5. what rear axle size is stock for wizzard and slot tech?

thanks!!!

2. I've always found .442 to be a good size for Tyco, you could go a little lower depending on your driving style and brand of track.

As for the Slottech car, what chassis, Panther or T2?

i dont know the different between a panther or a T2? the chassis is at least 3 years old if that helps

If it's pink and not new then it's a Panther, all Thundercat T1's are gray and all T2's are pink, the pink Panther chassis is awesome especially on plastic track, though the T1 pretty much made the Panther line obsolete for hardcore mag car racing. For reference, the Thundercat line introduced a longer traction mag.

I have a few Panthers in my box, I'll see if I can figure out what guide pin is in them. Before bringing up tire sizes, gotta know if it's ceramic or polymer traction mags.

Wizzard cars use a .59 axle and I use .482 tires on my P2E & P3E.

The Panther does use a Tomy pin, the slot is elongated so the pin position is adjustable. I think the recomendation was to glue it in place once you found your preference. They fit pretty snug on a new chassis, but can move front to back if the chassis is worn.

If I remeber right, I think tires for ceramic cars were running .446-.450 range depending on track, poly cars I think were running .460 + depending on track and tire composition.
