Hello,

I have a Deere GT275 that I have had since it was new about 10 yrs ago. No problems till now. It starts right up and I can mow grass all day but when I shut it off, it will not restart until it cools down. Then it starts right up. It has a 17hp kawasaki air cooled engine. Anyone have an thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks much
Tim

Check for spark when its hot and wont crank back up. If their isn't spark off the spark plug wire then its the ignition coil. Air cooled engines will actually get hotter right after you shut them down. This extra heat could be causing the ignition coil to fail.
