I just picked up the new 'Day of the Dead - The need To Feed ' dvd ... no its not Day of The Dead 2:Contagium [ which was awful imho] This new Day of the Dead is very much like the remake of Dawn - the zombies are fast and even Ving Rhames is in it. Although it doesn't compare with Romero's original [ no one does zombies better than George] it is pretty gory and the story isn't bad , but Diary of the Dead was better. [ slow zombies are more scary to me for some reason even though fast ones are much more of a threat..] The new Day remake doesn't really follow any of the plot of the orginal and really should've had a different title but I guess they wanted to capitolize on the name.. I'm sure Romero got a cut .. Directed by Steve Miner , Nick Cannon and Mena Suvari are the star actors ..If you liked the remake of Dawn then you might like this as well..
