That looks like a photoshop job. The heavy handed film grain looks like a bad attempt to hide a fan's work.

Kind of looks like The Mummy. We'll all find out soon enough. It's going to be huge.

Perhaps, but there's a Warner Brothers shill posting pics on MySpace under the moniker THE DARK KNIGHT, and his pics are grainy as heck!

Maybe. Batman Begins left off with a hint of who the next villain would be. Maybe Dark Knight will do so as well.

Of course, the Joker is probably the most well-known villain, so it makes sense for both incarnations of Batman to feature him. But Two-face too? Probably Riddler or Catwoman next? I'm sure it will probably be great, but I hope the cast of villains doesn't completely mirror the Keaton/Kilmer?Clooney films. Of course the first film did not, so why am I complaining?:freak:

It seems to be a pattern. Notice how Spiderman kept escalating?

Newest Trailer: http://thedarkknight.warnerbros.com/

As you say, the first one gave us villains we haven't seen before. It's obvious that Goyer and Nolan are guided by two particular principals in this series. One - to interpret the Batman mythos as "realistically" as possible without losing the "fantastical" nature of the mythos altogether, and Two - to explore the themes of "split" personality and the power of "fear" employed against one's enemies. I doubt we'll see a Penguin or a Riddler from Goyer and Nolan. They wouldn't work within this template. Catwoman on the other hand - while not particularly "scary" iconically - would work quite well (Batman Returns suffered greatly from the unnecessary insertion of The Penguin into the script. If it had been Catwoman alone Burton's second installment would be the undisputed standout from that series). Of course, this team has only committed to three installments so it's unlikely they'll get beyond Two-Face and one other denizen of Batman's "Rogue's Gallery" before someone else takes over - or before the whole Superhero genre goes to sleep for awhile due to audience burn-out.*

*Quite possibly, the Two Face photo I posted is Dent's subjective "mirror" image of himself after he has been scarred. While his genuine injury is grotesque - it is not as extreme as what he sees in his own mind.

^ If your psychoanalysis of Goyer/Dolan is right, then you're on to something, Zorro.

The trailer implies something happens to Dent in this movide. While it may simply be a quick cut, they do show some brown liquid being poured, Dent pinned to the floor yelling "NO!" and an explosion.

Yeah, it looks as if Dent is scarred in this film. Whether he morphs into a villain remains to be seen. Someone posted somewhere that the Joker isn't really the focus of attention in TDK. Maybe it is Two-Face.

The scene where Dent is in the car holding the gun, he's already scarred, you can just see the edges of it.
